This is a beautiful log home located on the Sturgeon River surrounded by a peaceful wooded backyard with a fire pit and comfortable seating area. Walk along the boardwalk surrounded by woods and wild flowers leading to the beautiful Sturgeon River. This is a very private getaway for your family or group of friends. There is plenty of room for two or three families or a group of friends to rent together. This home is located close to some of the most beautiful areas of Northern Michigan! In under 30 minutes, you can be in Mackinac City, the Mackinac Island Ferries, Gaylord, Petoskey, Harbor Springs, and Boyne Mountain Resort. If you are active you will be surrounded by abundant opportunities to enjoy some of the best golfing, kayaking, trout and walleye fishing, canoeing, boating, mountain biking, snow-shoeing, ATV Trails, snowmobiling, cross country skiing and downhill skiing. Less than a mile from the cabin there is a playground, roller and ice hockey rink, and skateboarding park located at Cooperation Park. This cabin has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen for those that love to cook. We also offer a full size washer and dryer for your convenience. We have plenty of board games, movies, and two 50" HD tv's with Directv and Blu-ray DVD players for rainy days. There is also a smaller tv in the kitchen that you can hook up to your Roku, Chrome, etc. and run off your hotspot. We find that AT&T works great but Verizon can be hit-or-miss. Sorry, there is no wifi available here yet. We don't allow parties, smoking, pets, or fireworks. There is pet boarding for your 4-legged friend right up the street at Indian River Pet Resort.
The Sturgeon River makes for great canoeing, kayaking or a relaxing float tube trip for any EXPERIENCED level - not to be underestimated! The Rails to Trails is located just outside the front door. This is used for walking and bicycling during Spring, Summer, and Fall and is used for snowmobiling during the Winter. https://www.traillink.com/trail-maps/north-central-state-trail/ - 62 miles trail running from just south of the famed Mackinac Bridge on to Cheboygan and on to a popular section of trail that skirts Mullett Lake, a beautiful, 15-mile-long inland lake that stretches to Indian River. Trails allow motorcycles, ATV's, UTV's, Jeeps and other off-road vehicles.
